Privacy Policy

The Sewing Bar Effective Date: July 15, 2026

Sewing Bar, LLC ("The Sewing Bar," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, thesewingbar.com (the "Site"), and through our classes, parties, and programs, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using our Site or registering for any of our classes or programs, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide to us directly. This includes your name, your child's first name and age, your email address, your phone number, and your mailing address when you register for a class, book a party, sign up for our newsletter, or contact us. When you make a payment, our third-party payment processor collects your payment card details. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.

If you participate in the Step Up For Students program or another scholarship program, we may collect the information needed to process your enrollment and direct payment.

We also collect limited information automatically when you visit the Site, such as your device type, browser, and general usage data, through cookies and similar technologies. This helps us understand how visitors use the Site and improve it.

Information About Children

Much of our work involves young students. Registration and account information is provided by a parent or guardian, not by the child. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us information without a parent's involvement, please contact us and we will delete it.

We photograph and record class activities, camps, and parties for our records and, at times, for promotional use on our website and social media. We will only publish a photo or video that identifies your child if you have given us permission to do so. You may withdraw that permission at any time by contacting us, and we will stop using the image going forward.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to register students and process bookings and payments, to communicate with you about your classes, schedules, and any changes, to run our programs including birthday parties, camps, and workshops, to respond to your questions, to send you newsletters and updates if you have opted in, and to improve our Site and services. We may also use it to comply with our legal obligations.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited ways. We share it with service providers who help us operate, such as our payment processor, our booking or scheduling software, our email provider, and our website host. We share it with scholarship programs such as Step Up For Students when you are enrolled through them and it is needed to process payment. We may share it when required by law or to protect the safety of our students, staff, or others.

Cookies

We and our third-party service providers use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to track information about your use of our Site and App. We may combine this information with other personal information we collect from you (and our third-party service providers may do so on our behalf).

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for you to navigate our Site, while others are used to enable a faster log-in process or to allow us to track your activities at our Site.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to block them in the future. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your computer from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Visitors to our Site who disable cookies will be able to browse certain areas of the Site, but some features may not function.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You may ask us to review, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. You may unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails. This does not affect messages we need to send you about classes you are enrolled in.

Our Site may link to other websites, such as our booking platform or social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
